We Are Your Neighbors: Brian McLeod, Hiawatha, Local 620

ABOUT BRIAN:
I have a wife Jennifer, and two children, Austin (age 11), and Jacob (age 8). I coach both of my boys in Metro and YMCA football and also coach both of their USSSA Baseball Teams. I have served as Vice President and President of our home owners association. I also serve as team captain for the local heart walk, and serve as a volunteer for otehr American Heart Association functions such as "The Heart Ball," "Jump Rope for Heart," and Hoops for Heart."

WHAT BRIAN DOES:
I do concrete road repair for the City of Cedar Rapids.  I operate a skid loader to grade the holes before concrete is poured.  In the winter I plow snow, I operate a Trackless Bomber and clear snow off of city sidewalks and bridges.

WHAT BRIAN'S JOB MEANS TO HIS FAMILY AND COMMUNITY:
Having a job like min means that I can contribute to the well being of my family.  Put money away for my boys' college, play their sports, or participate in any activity that they wish.  I have a very satisfying job, you can look back on your work and feel proud of the finished product.  Knowing cars can drive on the road you helped build for the next 30 years is a very good feeling to have.
